am extremely happy that we are
now able to use modern technology
to facilitate our keeping in touch with
each other and the
sharing of information and news. As with any endeavour, its
success will depend largely on the contribution, effort and
involvement of participants, and in this regard I do urge all
KCOBs to contribute to the various fora and activities within
the site.

On Monday, the 20th September 1909, King's
School (as it then was) "opened its doors to the public and
in the presence of its first 10 scholars the Director gave
an opening address.
Next day His Excellency Sir Walter
Egerton formally visited the School."1
The School building which was erected and furnished at a
cost of £10,001 consisted of "a hall to accommodate
300
students, 8 lecture rooms and a chemical laboratory, and an
office."
